‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’ Gets Modern Update

“Bridget Jones’s Baby” has a delivery date. The attractive look was similar to the one Renee sported yesterday, as she once more filmed scenes within the British capital. It’s not clear what role the former Grey’s Anatomy star will have.

The actress, who first played the part in 2001, filmed a scene for the upcoming third movie in London on Monday. Tom and Shazzer are Bridget’s best friends in the movie.

It’s been over a decade since the last “Bridget Jones” film and Zellweger has been a rarity on big screens of late. However, another photo featured her sniffing at the white wine her friends were drinking for themselves.

Working Title is producing the film, based on Helen Fielding’s bestselling book series, which sees Zellweger reprising the title role along with Colin Firth as love interest Mark Darcy and Patrick Dempsey taking on a new role in Jones’s life. However, Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver has been reported to not appear in the upcoming project. The question remains, however, if the father of the child will be Firth’s Darcy, Dempsey’s new character, or perhaps a third party.

The first two pics in the Bridget Jones series have grossed a combined $544.4M in worldwide box office.

The cameras, they are a-rolling on romantic-comedy sequel Bridget Jones’ Baby, and with Working Title setting up shop in London, England at the beginning of the month, the studio has now slated the film for a nationwide release across the States on September 16, 2016.
