The Apprentice: BBC is planning an All-Stars edition, claims last series
The BBC are planning a “best of” series of “The Apprentice”, last year’s victor Mark Wright has claimed.
“We joke amongst us – obviously I tell them that I would win easily”.
“I don’t like people who talk down to me, people see me as Gary from Birmingham but what they don’t know is that I can fight with the best of them”.
The new series of The Apprentice starts in a matter of days and Karen Brady has revealed a few details on what to expect.
Mark, who launched internet marketing company Climb Online with Lord Sugar as a business partner, said: “I would love to go back in a few capacity, whether that’s as an assistant to Lord Sugar or as an interviewer like Ricky [Martin] or to use my business on a task, to come in and do something creative”.
Wright added that although he’d be confident in returning to the reality show, a few previous winners of the show feel their relationship with the multimillionaire has become too strained to re-appear on the show. Series six victor Stella English even sued for wrongful dismissal, but lost the case.
We’re pleased to report that this year’s batch of hopefuls – all vying to convince Lord Sugar to part with £250,000 – contain the usual smattering of deluded, self-important smugs comparing themselves to Alexander The Great and able to trot out one-liners like: “I’m a Swiss Army Knife of bouncy skills, business skills and enthusiasm”. We’ve got 20 staff, two offices, and we’re working with a few very big customers, so it’s good, it’s very, very good.

The Apprentice returns to BBC One on October 14 and 15 with Claude Littner replacing Nick Hewer.
