Lamar Odom found unconscious in Nevada brothel
Lamar Odom, 35, is fighting for his life after days of allegedly partying with girls in a brothel.
An employee of Dennis Hoff’s Love Ranch South in Pahrump called emergency services at approximately 3:15pm on Tuesday and Khloe received a phone call notifying her soon afterward.
Meanwhile, OC Register sports reporter Bill Oram tweeted, “Reports of Odom’s hospitalization have reached the Lakers locker room, with staffers trying to find out to which hospital he’s being taken…Lakers spokesman John Black says team obviously aware of Odom reports and monitoring situation ‘as best we can and, yes, concerned'”. When one of the women went to check on him on Tuesday he was unconscious.
Although the reason behind his passing out is not clear, but a report from Radar Online and Daily News, claimed that Lamar had been taking herbal Viagra and drinking alcohol, though it was not immediately clear if the supplement affected his condition.
The New York Daily News and BuzzFeed later confirmed the story, adding that Odom was found passed out and unable to breathe on the floor of the brothel, with fluid coming out of his mouth.
The Los Angeles Lakers has released a brief statement in response to the news of Odom being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.
Odom is now in a hospital, where he is reportedly not breathing on his own. Officials then tried to have him airlifted to Las Vegas, but the 6ft 10in athlete was too tall for the helicopter and he was driven by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Centre.
According to a recent clip from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Odom was still in touch with his ex-spouse.
Odom and Kardashian officially divorced in July after getting married in 2009. That same year, he was arrested for DUI, to which he pleaded no contest.
It has been a tough year for Odom who lost two close friends in June.
Odom, who was the 2011 sixth man of the year as the NBA’s top reserve and won Olympic bronze with the US in Athens in 2004, has endured numerous personal hardships in his life.
