Johnson punishes former team in Colts’ 27-20 win over Texans
In Luck’s absence, Matt has guided the Indianapolis Colts to their second consecutive victory.
But the Texans were unable to stop the Colts on the other side. Gore averaged 4.5 yards per carry and finished with 98 yards rushing and a touchdown. Until that point, the Colts were 0-2 and trailing in Game 3, and Luck was 54-for-103 for 690 yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Hoyer led the Texans on four scoring drives, after entering the game in the second quarter for Ryan Mallett.
Toler was making his first appearance of the regular season after missing the first four games with a neck injury, so let rust be his excuse.
Former Colts head coach Lindy Infante passed away at the age of 75 on Thursday. Just ten days ago he was sitting comfortably as Andrew Luck’s clipboard holder, knowing that there was no way he was getting into a game unless the worst-case scenario happened and Luck was injured.

Not to worry though. Hasselbeck is now 40, and still showing he can get it done when he’s called upon.
The Indianapolis Colts are now 3-2 and seem to have their season back on track after a 27-20 win over the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
“He didn’t look good, man”, teammate Joe Reitz said. “We could argue that”.
The 40-year-old Hasselbeck was filling in for Andrew Luck, who missed his second straight game with a shoulder injury.
As reported by ESPN, Hasselbeck later said he had a bacterial infection and was determined to play even though quarterback coach Clyde Christensen told him he didn’t have to.
The Colts killed all those good feelings at the start of the third quarter, driving the field in a minute and 58 seconds for a touchdown – capped off by a Frank Gore three yard run.
“It’s new to me”, said Jackson, who spent his first eight seasons in Cleveland.
“He was literally on his deathbed Monday and Tuesday and mustered enough to come in on Wednesday and practice”, Pagano said. “It definitely got the jitters out of me”, said Strong, who was active for the first time this season. Brian Hoyer came in after Colts linebacker Sio Moore delivered a shot that knocked Mallett out. He completed 18-of-29 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Hoyer won the starting job out of camp but was benched after Week 1. His second late in the fourth quarter stifled QB Brian Hoyer and sealed the win.
Everyone remembers when a veteran player who has done incredibly well for their team, leaves to go to a divisional opponent and their return to their home stadium cannot be easily forgotten. “I haven’t even talked to the staff yet about it. We’ll sit down and review film”.
The two-touchdown night for Johnson marked the 11 time in his illustrious career that he had multiple touchdowns in a game. Two plays later, he scored his first touchdown of the season when he was wide open in the back of the end zone for 4-yard reception that made it 10-0.
