“The addition of the versatile GLE comes at the right time and will add to our brand’s winning SUV portfolio”. Other comfort features include 2-zone automatic climate control in the 250 d and 3-zone automatic climate control in the 350 d, keyless go, 7-inch high resolution media display screen for the 250 d and an 8-inch unit in the 350 d, touchpad, reversing camera, 360-degree camera (350 d) and Active Parking Assist. This SUV is the first launch from Mercedes Benz under the leadership of new MD and CEO Roland S Folger. Its front is dominated by a new double slat grille with a distinctive Three Pointed Star logo while a new bonnet and lines on side profile also add to its sporty appearance. The 9-speed gearbox is introduced in India through the GLE.
Interior: Mercedes GLE has a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and comfortable seats for long journeys and optimal lateral supports, claims the carmaker. First of all, the two diesel engine options available in India (250 d & 350 d) feature an improved motor capable of churning out 204 HP and 258 HP, respectively. The 9G-Tronic features the AT with nine forward gears and one reverse gear.
