Scream Queens (FOX) “Pumpkin Patch” Episode 5

It’s another Halloween episode, which is great. Are you still anxiously awaiting Jamie Lee Curtis’ “Halloween” reference or reenactment as well? Cliff Wu, Ultimate Party Planner, has arranged an incredible scale model of the party, featuring tiny Chanels and a corn maze.

We began with Chanel consulting with her party planner to create the Halloween bash of her dreams. “I am gross rich, Cliff”. No. Five is shocked to learned that Chanel has cameras in her room.

Big Kappa House meeting. Who do you think is working for Gigi behind the Red Devil mask?! She tells him that they are being too sloppy and that “he’s gotta go”. They’ve got unrealistically elaborate parties to plan! This should work out great!

And while that might sound ridiculous (because it is ridiculous), there’s something charming about Chanel’s party. Hester asks No. 5 why she’s punishing sugar-loving kids when she should be directing her anger at the source (Chanel)? Or something? Anyway, Jennifer was skeptical at first, but once Hester pointed out that Chanel wastes fancy candles, Jennifer was so livid she agreed to help take her down. A plan is hatched, like so many ant eggs.

Later on, while Chanel tries to get a professor fired after he catches her cheating on a test with an Asian student who isn’t even enrolled in the class, cops interrupt the class to arrest her for the murder of Ms. Bean. She “starts burping uncontrollably like Robert Durst” on The Jinx, and watching her get arrested is deeply satisfying. Well, that’s only because Zayday has been kidnapped. The Devil has a little white dog like Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs, which is a nice touch.

Four episodes in and Scream Queens is getting better with every episode.

Though everyone believes that more than two girls end up having a cat fight, yet Emma Roberts revealed that she and her horror-comedy series’ female co-stars have no drama in real life with each other instead are good friends. “Those looks she gives!” Who is the man Gigi wants dead? Gigi the Secret “Hag” of the Haunted House.

Grace walking in on Gigi and Wes hooking up is the most uncomfortable I’ve been in a long time.

In jail, Chanel’s already got a crew – because, as we established in last week, she’s the sorority sister Taylor Swift. It’s like Orange is the New Black, but with more murder and less lesbian sex. In Dean Munsch’s office, the dean chats with Denise about her rendezvous with Chad Radwell. Dean Munsch did not appreciate his lovemaking skills, but Denise Hemphill was BOUT IT. And why is Grace’s dad, Wes a “very special someone”? Wes thinks that they should talk to Dean Munsch and Grace agrees.

At Kappa Kappa Tau, Chanel is calling a vote! One might even be so bold as to call them frenemies at this point!

Dean Munsch and Denise don’t get too far into their discussion about Chad’s D, because Grace, Pete, Wes, and Gigi rush in demanding the Dean’s help in finding Zayday.

While main Chanel threatens to blackmail Chanel #5, Grace shows a blueprint of potential spots Zayday could be located with Gigi pointing out suspicious clues, but technology rules if Zayday’s phone happens to have a Global Positioning System chip that allows her to be found.

The Black Tongue Fundraiser set is pretty sick.

As we’ve come to learn, Scream Queens is not quite the trigger-happy show we first thought it was. The Red Devil traps the brother that Chanel didn’t choose and kills him in the maze.

Could she and Boone be the Red Devils? Even though the Red Devil shows up and chases them through the maze, they decide to confront her about their relationship status as they’re trying to get away from the killer. Zayday’s absence just furthers Denise’s theory that she’s the killer. Plus, Latin Post revealed that Zayday was leading a charge to unseat Chanel as president of the KKT sorority. It’s sweet, until Zayday stabs his hand with a fork and runs away. Scream Queens has been quick to implicate Gigi after last week revealing she is the Hag of Shady Lane and now showing us that she’s someone with the ability to boss the Red Devil around. “He’s got to go”. Who doesn’t love a Shining or Silence of the Lambs or Exorcist 3 riff?

The Red Devil is seen holding a puppy. Boone is Bathtub Baby who she raised in the creepy haunted house, and they’ve got a third henchman who’s in love with Zayday.
