Ahmad Bradshaw Re-Signs With the Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis reinforced its ground game Wednesday by re-signing running back Ahmad Bradshaw.
The Colts were a little short at running back and the signing of Bradshaw gives then veteran experience behind starter Frank Gore.
Also, in June, the NFL suspended Bradshaw one game for violating the league’s program of substance abuse policy (marijuana possession).
Bradshaw was a productive member of the offense the past two seasons, but finished each year on the injured reserve list.
A man who found the end zone a team-leading eight times last season is back with the Colts. The Colts finally have done so, as team owner Jim Irsay announced today that they have agreed to terms with Ahmad Bradshaw, as had been reported earlier. He has rushed the ball 131 times and gained 611 yards in his two seasons with the Colts. “There’s more!” Bradshaw is a great change of pace alternative to the bruising running styles of Gore, Robinson, and Varga. He’s a tone setter. “He’s a warrior and we’ll see what happens”.
Bradshaw provides added depth to the Colts rushing attack. The Colts are alone in first place in the AFC South, but if they make the playoffs they will likely be on the road outside of a Wild Card game.
