Moon Knight TV Series Said To Be In Development For Netflix
According to Umberto Gonzales, founder and editor-in-chief of Heroic Hollywood, a superhero-centric news site, the next Marvel character up to bat is the enduring fan favorite Moon Knight.
Netflix has turned into the home of super dark Marvel TV shows and that could continue with Moon Knight. Marvel first announced a venture with Netflix in November 2013 with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, leading to the four heroes teaming up in the Defenders miniseries. After promising a new tidbit prior to his recent appearance on Collider Heroes, Gonzalez delivered by mentioning that Moon Knight could be the next hero to get the Netflix treatment.
While a few might consider Moon Knight an underdog pick for his own Netflix show, Gonzalez offered a simple explanation. When Moon Knight came up in conversation, Gonzalez apprised them that he’d heard of a viable series for the night-walking, caped patroler, possibly in the vein of a backdoor pilot, à la Netflix’s take on the Punisher via Daredevil. Moon Knight is the second additional series thats been rumored to be added to the Netflix slate, following the report three months back that Thunderbolts is also being developed. Marc Spector also has a hint of the mystical in his origin thanks to his role as the Fist of Khonshu, and with more of those types of elements certain to be making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Iron Fist airs, it’s hard to imagine the white-clad vigilante anywhere else but on Netflix. Well keep you updated on any news regarding Moon Knights potential future in the MCU, be it in a movie or TV series.
