Frank Sinatra tribute to feature Tony Bennett, John Legend and Carrie Underwood
Brooks, Underwood, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Usher are the first announced artists set to perform during the special, which will air on CBS.
Timed to the year of the 100th anniversary of Sinatra’s birth, “Sinatra 100 – An All-Star GRAMMY Concert” will be filmed Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theatre.
Will Garth Brooks” five-concert run at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center next month include ring-a-ding-ding versions of “Come Fly with Me”, “Theme from “New York, New York'”, “My Way” or other classic songs made famous by Frank Sinatra? “It’s only fitting that we join the global celebration in honour of his 100th birthday”.
The organizers behind the event, The Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS, stated that the special will integrate a variety of performances including Sinatra classics with rare archival footage. As a performer, he possessed undeniable charisma and masterful artistry that resonate throughout generations. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The special will air on CBS on December 6th in celebration of what would have been Sinatra’s 100th birthday (Sinatra was born on December 12th in Hoboken, NJ). “By partnering with Steve Wynn and featuring Las Vegas as the backdrop, the evening will be a party the Rat Pack would be proud of”. He also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Grammy Legend Award and 13 recording inductions into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
The special is written by David Wild and Ken Erlich, directed by Lou Horvitz and executive produced by Elrich.
