Taraji P. Henson Slays November Cover of Essence

Taraji P. Henson stopped by Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live where she revealed that the First Lady and President Barack Obama, like the rest of us, are HUGE fans of her hit show Empire!

The performer – who graduated with a degree in theater arts from Howard University- discussed her dedication to the art in the November issue of Essence Magazine.

“I dropped the phone”, said Henson, who noted that she was invited to come to the event but had to skip out because of work. “People forget it’s a craft because it’s so pop now…Can they make me believe the words coming out of their mouth?”

“Taraji was what I call “Project Royalty” because in the projects, honey, she is royalty”.

She said: “So after however many years I’ve been in this business, I finally have Hollywood’s attention”.

In a form-fitting black Fausto Puglisi dress with wonderful beading and slits that serve legs for days, she is a queen looking upon her loyal subjects. “Everything was strategically planned”. Cookie was finding her class and Taraji had no problem doing it’.

And for the November 2015 issue of Essence magazine, she is serving major body goals and even style goals too.
