Acer Predator X34 34-inch Curved IPS Monitor
Just when you thought that Acer had produced its crown jewel, the impressive XR341CK 34-inch curved monitor complete with a 3440×1440 IPS screen and AMD FreeSync support.
The Predator X34 packs promising specs for silky-smooth graphics – most notably Nvidia G-Sync, a display technology that aims to eliminate tearing and screen stuttering during gameplay and improve input lag.
“We believe the Predator X34 offers one of the smoothest, most thrilling game experiences available today”, said Charlotte Chen, Acer America product manager.
Meanwhile there’s a 4ms response time, and 14W of built-in amplification with DTS Sound for the stereo speakers tucked under the front edge of the display.
NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate to the GPU’s render rate, so images are displayed when they’re rendered.
With all these features packed into the display, it’s not going to come cheap. It’s available in the U.S. online for $1,300.
Outfitted with an adjustable stand, the Acer Predator X34 provides optimal comfort with ergonomic tilt from -5 to +35 degrees and height adjustments up to 5 inches.
Acer claims its panel offers 100 percent sRGB coverage for a high level of color accuracy and color space reproduction.
Alternatively, there’s a VESA option for wall-mounting. It also has Acer’s EyeProtect and ComfyView technology, which filter harmful blue light and reduce background reflections, respectively, to reduce eye fatigue. You’ll also find four USB 3.0 ports and both HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 connectivity. Newegg is now listing the Predator X34 for $1,299.99, although it’s now out of stock with no word on when it’ll be back on sale.
