Dolly Parton Addresses Health Rumors
The National Enquirer reported Dolly Parton was secretly hospitalized with kidney stones and was even battling stomach cancer. ‘I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine!’ Parton did acknowledge that she had kidney stones removed three weeks ago. There were rumors that Parton had stomach cancer, but on October 14, she cleared things up with a press release on her website.
But the I Will Always Love You entrepreneur, who is worth an estimated $500 million, has not just been limiting herself to media work.
Fears for Parton’s health were sparked when The Eagles star Don Henley said she had overcome a “medical issue” to shoot a video with him in Los Angeles.
He said she filmed for hours, thanked everyone then ‘I guess went back to the hospital’.
Originally released as the title track from the singer’s 1971 album “Coat Of Many Colors”, the song tells the story of how Parton’s mother stitched together a jacket made of rags for her young daughter while recounting the biblical tale of Joseph’s coat of many colours. She also said, “With the 30th Anniversary of Dollywood, I did a full week of activities promoting my new DreamMore Resort’s opening”.
