Obama gives Kanye West some tips for his presidential run
If you’re going to run for president, Kanye West, you might as well listen to someone who’s been there and done that.
The rapper announced that he will run for President in the 2020 election while accepting a prize at this year’s MTV VMAs.
As was reported by Billboard magazine, during an appearance on BuzzFeed’s popular podcast, “Another Round”, Clinton, 67, was asked what she thought about Kanye West running for president in 2020.
While many candidates spend their days persuading crowds and kissing babies, Kanye West does what he does best: performing, this time at a Democratic National Convention fundraiser.
Obama urged the rapper to get prepared for the real world out there which requires him dealing with a few odd characters who act like they are on a reality TV show.
“Second – this is the second important tip – saying you have a handsome, dark, twisted fantasy, that’s what’s known as off-message in politics”, he continued, making a reference to Kanye’s fifth album My handsome Dark Twisted Fantasy.
“We don’t want Obama to come to San Francisco thinking everything is okay for the black community because it’s not”, said Majeid Crawford with the Fillmore Bay Area Media Group. “A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying stuff like this”, he added. That’s insane. That’s cray. “It couldn’t get any stranger…But in case Kanye is serious about this whole POTUS thing – or as he calls it “peezy” [West’s nickname is Yeezy] – I do have advice for him”.
