Steelers OL Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) to undergo another surgery
The Steelers placed Pouncey on short-term injured reserve the week before the season started.
“He will “probably” miss the rest of the season”, according to The Post-Gazette.
Center Maurkice Pouncey may miss the entire 2015 season after having a second surgery on his ankle because infection had set in.
Tuck suffered his injury while trying to tackle Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson in a loss Sunday.
Rookie defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. has stepped up the past couple weeks, and in the last two games for the Raiders, he has recorded eight combined tackles and a forced fumble.
Pouncey was already recovering from leg surgery, but had to undergo a second operation to clear out an infection.
Pouncey, a two-time First-Team All-Pro selection, sustained a broken fibula in a preseason game against Green Bay, when Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix fell into his leg. The earliest that a healthy Pouncey could have played was Week 9.
The Steelers host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Heinz Field.
