Look for sunny, conditions for Wednesday, Thursday
The dry air allows readings to drop quickly through the night and suburbs fall to the low-to-mid 40s while within the beltway upper 40s to lower 50s hold for lows. Thankfully, not in full force but stepping toward it slowly with a lot of back & forth happening before we get reacquainted with Old Man Winter.
That cold front will act as a reinforcing shot of cool air as we head into the weekend.
The weekend on the other hand sees highs slip to the 60s. That may feel cooler than normal to a few after a couple of warm days.
Clear tonight with lows in the mid 50s. By early morning, a cold front will approach from the northwest, bringing the chance for a light shower in spots. Highs 58-64 (cooler at higher elevations).
Sunny skies will be with us Wednesday and it will be pleasant with highs in the lower 70s. Temperatures will top out right around average levels for mid-October, with highs in the low to mid 60s across the state.
Wild temperatures swings by over 40 degrees between morning lows and afternoon highs will continue today as areas that saw lows in 50s this morning will be well into the 90s this afternoon, even in danger of breaking record highs in Lake Charles.
Rain chances will be at 0% overnight.
