Oprah Winfrey ‘Devastated’ By Lamar Odom’s Condition
T.I. suggested that women are not consistent enough in their decision-making to lead America. When one of the paparazzi finally got her attention, he asked her about T.I.’s comments from a radio show interview.
When TMZ informed Oprah that T.I. did, in fact, say the above comments, Oprah dismissed the rapper. Whenever you are challenged, most people go out – I go in. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet.
Although Oprah didn’t hear the exact quote – it wouldn’t have made much of a difference in her response – she had a few choice words for the Paperwork creator.
“Nobody said that, in this day and age”, Winfrey said. “I think you might be able to the Lochness Monster elected before you could [get a woman]”.
As for “Belief”, which is narrated by Winfrey and explores the concepts of faith, religion and belief among diverse cultures all across the world, she said, “I’m really excited because you know at a time when I was going through challenges, building a network, trying to figure out what will the audience respond to…” “He just lives in the old ‘man takes care of woman, ‘ chivalry-type-thing”, she said.
When talking to Extra at the premiere of Belief in New York City on Wednesday, the 61-year-old OWN mogul said she was “devastated” because it reminded her of her half-sister Patricia Lloyd, who died in 2003 after a long battle with drugs. “Once my life was mine to design, I found myself a bit unbalanced in structuring it. I’ve had to learn to plan what I want to do instead of always fulfilling the “have to dos”.
