Woman gives birth prematurely 30000 feet in the air
Both mother and baby were brought to hospital after the plane eventually landed at Ted Stevens Anchorage Airport in Alaska.
The nationality of the baby girl will depend upon the birth certificate issued by the Anchorage hospital as she was born in United States airspace but on-board a Republic of China aircraft.

Zen had never delivered a baby on her own before but she was able to successfully assist in the delivery despite the constraints of the situation. The flight was on its way to Los Angeles which took off from Taiwan and nearly a 30 minutes due to land at its destination.
A Taiwanese mother went into labour prematurely while on a long haul flight form Bali to Los Angeles, according to The Huffington Post.
The Kitchen Doc via YouTube “People were super quiet and calm so that this woman could have a stress-free experience”, said fellow passenger Amira Rajput. You can hear passengers clapping.
“It was super chill”. She said the flight attendants were like her stand-in nurses, and most of the passengers were asleep until the cabin lights came on for the delivery.
“We didn’t really know that the woman was giving birth”, Rajput said.
The plane refueled and took off toward Los Angeles, arriving just three hours behind schedule.

Nonetheless, pregnant women should seek medical advice before boarding a plane, China Airlines said.
