Indian troops martyr three more Kashmiris
Those killed in the encounter have been identified as Gul Mohammad Mingnoo alias Maulvi code name Gulla Tailor S/O Bashir Ahmed Mingnoo of Dandian Doda and Raiz Ahmed S/o Ab Rashid of Dedni Marmat, police said.
IG (Jammu Zone) Danish Rana said the encounter took place early today in which these two SPOs, who had deserted the police force last month and joined a few militants, were eliminated.
Both had surrendered to the Army in 2010 to join the state police as special police officers.
Sources said, “based on specific information, troops launched an operation in a remote Gaddi Doda belt around midnight last night”. After sometime, as the contact was established, security forces challenged the terrorists who, however, opened fire. Both the outlaws had stolen one Ak rifle with 60 bullets, one INSAS rifle with 70 bullets from the custody of police force on the nights of September 6 and 7, 2015 and joined terrorist camps.
An encounter followed and the duo were killed, he said.
According to him, in an encounter with terrorists in June 2011 two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Tyeba were gunned down in Doda district, and it remained peaceful since then, for four years.
“They were trying to revive militancy in Doda district”, he said.
The security forces have recovered one AK 47 rifle and one INSAS rifle from the possession of the slain deserters.
Three militants were killed in two separate gunfights in Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.
