Klopp rules out Dortmund raid
Last Thursday Liverpool appointed Jurgen Klopp as their new manager to a great deal of fanfare from Liverpool supporters and Premier League neutrals/fans who have wanted to see Klopp in the Premier League.
Klopp is likely to prefer to field a more traditional back four, but it remains to be seen what his first choice central-defensive partnership will be, with Sakho and Lovren competing for a place alongside Martin Skrtel.
“I’m not interested in the problems we couild have on Saturday”.
Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has reported on Jurgen Klopp’s first training session today. It’s a big step, and everything is ok until now.
“We’ve had a few good training, the boys are willing to listen, to understand what we want”. You can change things like this.
Klopp tied to dampen down expectations around his arrival, as he insisted an instant fix to Liverpool’s problems was not guaranteed. “My pressure that I place on myself is enough”, he added.
We don’t know whether it’s the pun itself or just the fact that it was displayed at a WWE event for absolutely no reason at all, but this really tickled our amusing bones.
“But he has to be given time because if you look at the players we have…we do not have better players than at Arsenal, Chelsea, Man [Manchester] City and [Manchester] United, so why should we finish higher than them?”
