October is Breast Cancer Awareness month but a campaign called #NoBraDay, which aims to bring awareness to the disease, is drawing ire from social media – most pointedly from former child star Mara Wilson.
Williams will dye the tips of his hair pink in order to continue the tribute to his mother.
“Colchester Breast Unit believes a helpful approach is to promote there is life after breast cancer, which is why an afternoon tea party has become such a well-established part of our calendar”. “He said he went to the National Football League earlier this season and asked if there was a way that he could wear pink throughout the season, not just in the month of October”, Salters reported.
“We do specialized tests on breast cancer cells on tumors that are able to give us individualized information on that specific tumor and it’s risk of returning or recurring or coming back”, Fisher said.
Despite the setback, Williams partnered with Charlotte Radiology last December to pay for mammograms for 53 women – his mother’s age when she died – at a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“We have detected cancers in young women in their early twenties and all the way in their nineties”, she said. This year alone, more than 230,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer; about 60,000 will be diagnosed with non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. “If we reach millions, we’re doing our job and getting closer to finding a cure”.
“One time, a lady came up to me and said she was going to get examined just because she saw me wearing pink cleats during a game”.
