Lexus Details 2016 GS F, Releases New Photos

The 2016 Lexus GS F joins the company’s F performance lineup, which includes the RC F Coupe. Given its performance enhancements, the “GS F will offer drivers a very balanced sedan with genuine dual personality, equally adept at trimming lap times and the commute back home”. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 4.6 seconds and top speed is limited to 270 km/h (168 mph).

With a 7,300-rpm redline, the V8 engine delivers 467hp and 389lb-ft (527Nm) of torque and can run both in the Atkinson cycle to enhance fuel efficiency at cruising speeds and in the Otto cycle for higher performance levels when accelerating.

Its elegant-yet-aggressive styling effectively characterizes the essence of Lexus’ performance-oriented “F” brand, highlighted by bold front fascia with race-inspired functional air inlets, triple-beam headlamps, low-slung wide stance, large brake calipers, carbon-fiber rear spoiler and quad exhaust rear diffuser. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

With three operating modes, not only is the GS F sedan smooth, but it is also capable of overcoming challenging road conditions. Speaking about its cabin, you should know that this has been carried over but it is bringing a few interesting features, such as the 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the exclusive leather sport seats and so on.

The 2016 Lexus GS F performance sedan is expected to arrive at dealers this December.
