A USA soldier from Kentucky has been charged with killing a 2-year-old boy and critically wounding an Army medic in an attack at a house in Clarksville, Tennessee, authorities said on Thursday.
The Clarksville Police Department processed the crime scene and is awaiting any evidence that may link the crime to a suspect.
Just hours after announcing a reward for information leading to an arrest, Clarksville police have arrested a man for the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old.
Alexander is a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police also released a sketch of the suspect, in hopes of making an arrest. Zackery Alexander was first developed as a person of interest in the case.
Jimenez remains hospitalized in critical condition. Police have released few details about what led to the shooting other than to say it was intentional and that October 4 was the accused shooter’s birthday.
