‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Villain Unveiled in Leaked Trailer
Since this is an R-rated Deadpool movie we’re talking about, hopefully some kind of red band teaser trailer makes its way online so fans can really get the right idea of what to expect. Previous year it was “Mad Max: Fury Road”.
“It only took 11 years to get here”, the actor shared.
Ryan Reynolds hangs out with Deadpool co-players during the trailer launch of the upcoming anti-hero Marvel film at the Fox’s panel at the SDCC 2015.
Deadpool is Wade Wilson, a terminal cancer patient whose disease is turned into his ability: He’s all cancer, which means he can regenerate quickly and has other powers – but looks bad (hence the all-body suit).
As summed up by Rose Byrne’s returning Moira, Apocalypse is the original mutant, and now the thousands of years old mutant is controlling his “children” to forge a new one. “One more time!” In fact, Reynolds may still reprise Deadpool’s character if it is included in “Gambit, ‘ which stars Channing Tatum or the third and final ‘Wolverine” flick. “You guys, the fans, made the studio do this”. I think it’s an absolute miracle that a studio let us make Deadpool, let alone a rated-R Deadpool. And if it wasn’t already, Deadpool surely just vaulted into the upper echelon of most-eagerly awaited films of 2016.
Director Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse” is ready for big screening and the ancient mutant Oscar Isaac, playing the role of Apocalypse himself, revealed the names of Four Horsemen at Hall H stage of Comic-Con worldwide 2015 held at San Diego, California recently. “That went over well”, Singer said with obvious pleasure. This will be interesting considering both these X-Men are among the most powerful. “He sees what people need and want and he exploits it”. We also see Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner as Jean Gray for the first time. Jordan and Jamie Bell all on hand, along with director Josh Trank and producer Simon Kinberg.
The Marvel antihero, recognized for his salty language and off-humor, is given an origin story on this movie, which comes out February 12.
The Fox panel ended with a selfie that encapsulated the casts of Deadpool, X-Men Apocalypse and fantastic Four, along with their comic book creator, Stan Lee.
It’s easier for certain projects that are farther along – Warner Bros. released the new “Batman v Superman” trailer shortly after Saturday’s Hall H panel.
