Apple *really* wants you to know that 3D Touch exists
Apple has unveiled a new ad for its iPhone 6s to teach users about the 3D Touch feature.
It also adds that the 3D Touch feature is not available for previewing contents of chats in the message list as well as for using Quick Reply option to respond to chat from within its banner notification. The new iPhone 6S 3D Touch ad is the second iPhone 6S commercial.
More and more companies are now planning to incorporate this Force Touch pressure sensitive technology on their smartphones.
First off, as 9to5Mac reports, you need to jailbreak your iOS 9 device to enable these features, as they require third-party apps that Apple would never allow in the App Store. At Amazon, you can see how much people are selling their phones for and how much you are willing to offer are placed in your hands.
With a jailbroken phone running iOS 9, users can point themselves to the Cydia app store to download Forcy, a free app that gives non 3D Touch equipped iPhones 3D Touch capacity. It’s sort-of like the floating action button in Android except it’s based on 3D Touch, and it’s awesome.
In addition to the 3D Touch features, the new WhatsApp comes with various bug fixes as well.
There’s also another hack available called UniversalForce that adds support for the same functionality within apps – that means you can swipe up to access quick actions within iOS apps. This line is used by Apple many times when describing the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Peek and Pop let me check out what they send without actually leaving the Messages app. And if the content truly is interesting, then I press the screen a little harder and the content takes over what I was doing. This is just one of the millions of applications that 3D Touch has, and its potential goes way higher than this.
