Hillary Clinton Serves Beer To Her Doppleganger On Saturday Night Live
A few things to keep in mind before you press play: Hillary Clinton’s camp clued the public in on her “surprise” SNL cameo days before the show’s season premiere.
Hillary Clinton made a special appearance on the season opener of the Saturday Night Live, but was seen doing something that got fans into fits of laughter.
After their chat, McKinnon told Clinton she was “really easy to talk to” and Clinton deadpanned, “That’s the first time I’ve ever heard that”.
In the traditional style of SNL, “Hillary” has a vision of chatting up her bartender Val – who is in fact played by the real Hillary Clinton. Clinton dismisses Trump, puts on a throaty voice and says: “Uh, you’re all losers”.
“Could have been sooner”, McKinnon said as Clinton responded “fair point” which drew a round of applause from the audience.
MCKINNON: (As Hillary Clinton) Val, Val, I wish you could be president.
Jokes about “taking her time” to make that decision, her “young, cool vibe” and Donald Trump follow. The New York Times reported that Clinton declined an invitation to give the keynote address at that annual dinner for the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT advocacy organization, in order to appear in the SNL sketch.
“Why won’t people just let me lead?”
Check out Clinton having a hilarious chat with her doppelganger in the video above. “I’ve had a complex couple of 22 years”.
“Lorne Michaels just asked me if I would do it, and I said “Sure”, because I love the impersonations of me”, said by Clinton to Entertainment Tonight. From the sources it has been revealed that Clinton was depicted on the show by various stars like Amy Poehler and Kate Mckinnon. McKinnon has run with that take and refined it, humanizing grand ambition in a way that makes her Clinton endearing and justified in her entitlement, rather than simply sociopathic. And with a fist pump, Clinton agreed, “Me too”. Real Hillary Clinton introduced her and upstaged her. We’re talking Hillary today, not Miley, which is another way Clinton helped “SNL”.
The singer struggled to hold back her tears and completely broke down as she reached the end of the song.
