LeSean McCoy to play Week 6
Having LeSean McCoy back in the lineup would be critical to the Buffalo Bills, who have suffered a number of setbacks on offense.
The 27-year-old running back practiced on both Wednesday and Thursday this week and appears to be gearing up for Buffalo’s game with the undefeated Bengals on Sunday.
Last week, McCoy said he’d likely be out another 3-4 weeks after aggravating the strained muscle.
Taylor will be a game-time decision, according to Ryan. With Taylor also practicing this week, it makes it more hard for the Bengals defense to sell out and stop McCoy, which could give the Bills flexibility. In his absence, Bills running backs are averaging a collective 2.48 yards per carry. He sprained a knee ligament in Sunday’s 14-13 win over the Tennessee Titans.
“He wants to go, but we’ll see”, Ryan said of Taylor. The third-year pro has not started since he was benched one month into last season.
McCoy said the Bills haven’t talked about his workload, and Ryan was evasive when asked whether he would be on any sort of pitch count.
Watkins has missed each of the past two games because of a calf injury. “We’ve had great confidence in him and (if) he goes into play we expect him to do really good things”. “From [Mohamed] Sanu, to 82 [Marvin Jones] and then you got obviously A.J. Green, who’s probably the best receiver in the AFC”.
