BLU Studio Energy 2 And Energy X: Budget-Friendly Smartphones With Massive

Enter Blu, which has done just that with its latest pair of smartphones, the Studio Energy 2 and the Energy X.
The Studio Energy 2 is the elder brother of the two, sold for $179 and the Energy X for $109, making both relatively low-budget devices.
BLU Products, keeping the budget-conscious consumers in mind, has taken the wraps off two affordable smartphones – the Studio Energy 2 and the Energy X.
As their names suggest, these devices are all about the battery. There is, of course, that 5,000mAh battery, which Blu says could yield up to 30 days stand-by or three days of usage on a single charge. The Energy X retains the 8-megapixel rear camera found on the Studio Energy 2, though the front-facing shooter steps down to 2 megapixels. Up front sits a 5-inch, 1,280 x 720 resolution Super AMOLED display, so it should deliver the deep blacks and impressive contrast ratio that such panels are known for. The rear-facing camera supports LED flash, autofocus and 1,080p video recording.
Launched as a successor to BLU Studio Energy, the smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Back in February, the company introduced the Studio Energy phone with a 45-day battery. It’s available in Midnight Grey and Gold finish.
Energy X features a 720p 5-inch screen protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 layer and it’s powered by a slightly less powerful Mediatek 6580 processor at 1.3 GHz.
This, however, can be attributed to the smartphone’s smaller nonremovable 4,000mAh battery, which is still massive when compared to other Android offerings in its league. Finally, internal storage gets cut in half, though it’s also expandable through the Micro SD card slot. Measuring 144 x 71.2 x 10.1 mm and weighing in at 176 gms, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, and is available in Midnight Grey and Ceramic White with Rose Gold color options.
