Driver opens fire during road rage dispute, faces charges
A 36 year-old Harrison Township woman was arrested Tuesday evening after becoming involved in a road-rage incident with another driver.
Michigan’s Macomb County sheriff’s department says 36-year-old India Marchea McDougal was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of assault with intent to commit murder.
Authorities received a 911 call Tuesday night from a 40-year-old man from Warren who reported exchanging words with another driver in Harrison Township. As the two get to the light, the man in the pickup gets out and throws a Slurpee at the woman.
A Macomb County woman faces life in prison after she allegedly shot at another motorist who reportedly threw a Slurpee cup at her in an altercation over her driving.
According to the Law Enforcement Information Network, McDougal does have a concealed pistol license.
McDougal was ordered jailed on a $750,000 bond and is due back in court on October. 26.
Lt. John Michalke said the road rage ignited because the man “was in a hurry, and she was driving slowly”. She was also charged with possessing less than 25 grams of a controlled substance.

That’s when the man got out of his truck, but stayed on the driver’s side, and started arguing with McDougal.
According to the man, the female driver produced a gun and fired a round at his truck, at which time he called 911. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the man’s name yet as he has not been arraigned.
There was an altercation, both pulled out of the parking lot and the suspect drove up to the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle and fired a few shots into it, hitting the victim, Detroit police said.
Once back inside his truck, the man unrolled the passenger side window and threw a soft-drink at the woman’s SUV, he said.
Deputies located a Kel-Tec, 9mm Luger handgun in the pocket on the driver’s side door of McDougal’s gray Lexus RX330, officials said. Investigators also observed a bullet hole through the passenger door of the man’s truck, which had a shattered window, and were able to retrieve the bullet from the vehicle’s arm-rest.
The man, who was not identified by officials, is expected to face multiple misdemeanor charges, including: driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and “throwing a missile” from a vehicle, Michalke said.
