Police issue warrant for suspect in Cachene murder
Police have issued warrants for the arrest of Isaiah Riel Rider, 18, in relation to the second-degree murder of a young Calgary mother.
Police were called to the home by Cachene’s father, on the 0-100 block of Ranchlands Bay NW, around 5:30 Sunday, for reports of a suspicious death.
It’s believed that a party was hosted at the residence on Saturday evening and that eight-to-ten individuals were in attendance. It’s believed Cachene was killed on Sunday morning, after the party.
He is also wanted on an unrelated province-wide warrant for assault as well as a Canada-wide warrant for breaching a conditional sentencing order.
He is described as Aboriginal, approximately 6 foot 2, 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
They’re asking anyone with information about Rider’s whereabouts to contact police by calling the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. Police suspect the wanted man is still in Southern Alberta and likely in the Calgary area.

Cachene’s family broke down while speaking about Christa, Tuesday.
“She was a dedicated mother, she loved her kids and they were her world”, said one unidentified speaker as she addressed the crowd.
