INLAND WEATHER: Scattered showers and thunderstorms could come this afternoon
Thursday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 68 and winds 6 to 10 miles per hour and gusts as high as 15 miles per hour. Another cold front moves through early Friday morning, which could bring a few rain showers early, with clearing skies expected Friday afternoon.
Wednesday will be dry but cloudy in the Boston area, with a high in the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service.
A cooling trend was forecast to start by Tuesday, with a slight chance of showers forecast for midweek in parts of Southern California, the weather service stated. By Monday, temperatures should begin to warm up once again with a high of 70. Colder air returns for the weekend, with the possibility for the first frost of the season Saturday and/or Sunday morning, with low temperatures in the low to mid 30s. The high on Saturday might only reach 58, and overnight lows Saturday could drop below 40.
Temperatures are expected to gradually cool through Sunday. UCLA also tied a record high when it hit 97 degrees.
Today will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 65 degrees, followed by a similar Thursday – mostly sunny with a high of 64 degrees.
