Has France dumped coach Philippe Saint-Andre ahead of quarter-final?
French coach Philippe Saint-Andre, who will step down after the World Cup, has predicted a thrilling game.
“We’re still together until the end of the competition; players, coaches, medical staff”, Dusautoir told reporters.
But France recovered to make the final and Dusautoir said Les Bleus were ready to face a New Zealand team bidding to become the first country to retain the World Cup.
Consequently Stuff commented, “Whether it’s hope, fact or fiction, claims of another revolt centres on the ability of the playing squad to pull together and inspire a response out of frustration”.
“They don’t know everything we’ve been doing, and they will be a little bit apprehensive about a few things because they don’t have any control over it”. “We’ll be expecting them to play with flair and physicality”. I don’t understand what everyone is talking about here. I just focus on what I have to do tomorrow.
Tillous-Borde has been one of Saint-Andre’s key men, starting 10 of France’s last 13 Test matches. We are a team.
“2007 was special because we won against the All Blacks and not many teams have done that”. Under his watch, France have failed to finish in the top half of the Six Nations in four attempts.
“It’s exciting to be back here, when we came over we knew we’d be here for the quarter-final if we qualified”, said McCaw.
“When you play against New Zealand, you have to dig deeper in your resources and to get into a trance”, he said calling on his players to find “this additional soul, generosity, craziness, mischief and intelligence to have our opponents losing their self-confidence”.
“But If we lose the game against New Zealand we are out of the tournament, and what we are going to do tomorrow is the most important”.
‘But I want to think about our future. A battle within a battle if ever there was one.
Earlier this week French newspaper Midi Olympique published a picture of lock Yoann Maestri appearing to shoulder barge Saint-Andre in the players’ tunnel after the team’s disappointing 24-9 defeat to Ireland, which consigned to a quarterfinal with the All Blacks.
“He lacks that lightning acceleration he had when I was working with him in 2007 but he’s an extremely experienced, smart player and Wales have to hassle him as much as possible”.
France made three tactical changes for this sudden death clash.
Another back to be sacrificed is Mathieu Bastareaud, relegated to the bench with Racing 92’s Alexandre Dumoulin coming in to partner Wesley Fofana in midfield.
