Ireland drawn to face Bosnia
Ireland must defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina if they are to book their ticket to the Euro 2016 finals after Martin O’Neill’s men were pitted against them in this morning’s play-off draw.
The Republic of Ireland boss Martin O’Neill was on hand as they draw took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, in Switzerland this morning.
Ukraine have been drawn with Slovenia, Sweden face neighbours Denmark.
The Republic of Ireland, who secured a stunning 1-0 Group D win over world champions Germany to help them towards a play-off spot, will face Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Bosnia finished third in Group B behind Belgium and Wales.
The first legs are across November 12, 13 and 14, with the returns on November 15, 16 and 17.
Any ties that can not be separated after 90 minutes of the second leg will be decided upon by away goals and then penalties.
The draw was performed today as the final step towards qualification for the tournament in France next year.
