Westboro Baptist Church to picket ‘hypocrite’ Kim Davis over multiple marriages
Kim Davis reached national attention last month when, while serving as the county clerk of Rowan County, Kentucky, she refused to issue marriage licenses to gay or lesbian couples, despite the fact that she was legally obligated to by order of the Supreme Court. According to a statement issued by the church, the group is targeting Davis because they believe she is a hypocrite about marriage, based on her multiple divorces. Many of their protests have targeted the funerals of American servicemen and women as well as prominent figures. She was temporarily jailed, but later released with newfound status as an icon of the a few conservatives like presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz, who both attended her a ceremony for her release.
The Westboro Baptist Church has announced its intentions to protest outside of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis’ courthouse in Morehead, Ky., a St. Louis Fox affiliate reports.
‘That man that Kim Davis is living with and calling her husband, IS NOT! ‘So WBC will picket Kim Davis to bring clarity!’ While many homophobic organizations have rallied around Davis and turned her law-breaking into a cause celebre, Westboro doesn’t feel so warmly toward her.
‘She would mourn for her sins, and in a show of great mercy, she would be busy apologising to the fags for enabling them, and she would, with all diligence, give those perverts a marriage license. Her husband is Dwain Wallace, who she married when she was 18-years-old.
“God Hates Kim Davis” may just be the best sign they’re ever going to make.
‘It was adultery at the beginning, adultery in the middle and it is indeed adultery today!
As it happened, the Supreme Court of the United States, fulfilling their destiny, made same-sex marriage the law of the land.
‘You asked for it, you begged for it by your disobedience and refusal to receive correction or instruction, so take it and like it!’
