Matt Hasselbeck was ‘on his death bed’ before Texans game
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, kicker Adam Vinatieri, running back Frank Gore, wide receiver Andre Johnson and safety Mike Adams. Adam Vinatieri is just plain wowed.
Thanks to their most senior citizens, the Colts established a National Football League record with their 16th consecutive victory over a division opponent, their third in a row overall and by far their most comprehensive and encouraging performance of the young season.
“It means we’ve established a culture of winning”.
Few teams have dominated their division as thoroughly or as long as the Colts.
Infante was the Colts head coach in 1996, leading the team to the playoffs in his first season, but was sacked after the 1997 season when the team finished 3-13.
Albany native Dion Lewis has taken off in his first season with the New England Patriots.
Even during Matt Schaub’s pick-six run, all the Kubiak years and David Carr’s tenure in Houston, no loss was ever as pathetic as this one.

On Thursday, the 40-year-old Hasselbeck again did not commit a turnover, guided the Colts to a 13-point lead in the first half and kept them ahead the entire game with solid, methodical drives. At least, except for Thursday night. You knew Gore wanted to avenge the goal line fumbles he’s had earlier this season on Thursday night. He and his coaching staff have been able to do what has been necessary to win three straight games. So perhaps it was fitting that the record breaker also came against the Texans.
These are nit-picking issues, is one way to look at it. The Colts have won three games in a row. Afterward, we’ll look ahead to Week 6 to see what’s on the schedule for both teams. In a post-game interview, Hasselbeck was understandably emotional and drained.
Houston Texans’ Brian Hoyer (7) and Jaelen Strong (11) celebrates after they connected on a touchdown pass against the Indianapolis Colts during the second half of an NFL football game Thursday, October 8, 2015, in Houston. At all. So I think one of the biggest things we learned on Sunday is this: the AFC South is terrible . “It was so easy; I was afraid I was going to miss it”, Adams said of his second interception.
With Luck hurt, the Colts should be thankful about the effective play from 39 year old quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
