Barefoot Toddler Found Wandering In Love Park
Saturday morning, SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel tweeted a photo of the boy, and stated that the boy was found in LOVE Park. No parent or guardian was with the child, who was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation.
The boy’s 4-year-old sister was with the parents when they were located.
After a 2-year-old boy was found wandering alone at LOVE Park over the weekend, a local ministry is launching an effort to assist the boy’s family.
The parents called police shortly after the infant was recovered to report it missing. Since then, his fundraiser pulled in enough money to cover housing for them for one year, so they can be reunited with both of their young children.
Almost $8,000 had been raised as of Monday, according to philly.com, which adds that Chosen 300 was also attempting to secure hotel lodging for the family in the meantime. “We have witnessed their love and care for their two children, but have fallen on hard times”.
“It doesn’t make them bad parents”, Brian Jenkins of Chosen 300 told 6ABC.
