Jaguar Land Rover India opens bookings for Evoque
Jaguar Land Rover has announced that it has started accepting bookings for the facelifted Range Rover Evoque in India.
The Land Rover range in India includes the flagship Range Rover (starting at INR 207 Lacs in CBU form), Range Rover Sport (starting at INR 116 Lacs in CBU form) and Discovery 4 (starting at INR 111 Lacs in CBU form) and locally manufactured Discovery Sport (starting at INR 46.1 Lacs).
With its striking lines, muscular shoulder and tapered roof, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque sets itself apart from its contemporaries. The front grille, bumper, and air dams has been refreshed, and at the rear, there’s a new spoiler, roof fins, and a 3G antenna for better data reception on the move.
The 2.0 litre diesel engine might replace the Ford sourced 2.2 litre unit that is presently powering the Discovery Sport. Sophisticated electronic safety gadgetry abounds on the new Evoque, from All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) to Lane Keeping Assist, and Attention Assist to Autonomous Emergency Braking.
This means that the upcoming cars like the next generation Range Rover Evoque, the all new Jaguar XE and the next generation Jaguar XF will be powered by the new engines. From the side, the design remains almost unchanged from the current model, though new alloy-wheels will be offered. Inside, the design changes are limited to the seats, door-casings and upholstery and trim-colour options.
The interior of the 2016 model is equipped with new materials and accents, a Head-Up Display, a Surround Camera System, a 17-speaker, 825 Watts Meridian Surround Sound System with an 8-inch touchscreen display, and a rear seat entertainment package.
