Steve Adams finishes National Basketball Association pre-season with double-double against Jazz

Steven Adams has rounded out his National Basketball Association pre-season with an eye-catching double-double to show he’s more than ready for the real stuff when it gets under way in a week’s time.

The Oklahoma City Thunder aim to close their preseason with a victory when they visit the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena this Tuesday for their final game before the regular season.

Their only defeat came when they rested all their frontliners against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Russell Westbrook finished with 17 points and 12 assists in 27 minutes of play. The 22-year-old third-year pro completed a solid statline with three assists and two blocks.

Blake Griffin looked excellent in a Los Angeles Clippers demolition of the Golden State Warriors, Paul George was terrific as the Indiana Pacers lost to the Chicago Bulls while Kevin Durant had his best game of the preseason in an Oklahoma City Thunder win over the Utah Jazz.

Griffin, who poured in 23 of his total points in the first half, shot 11 of 18 from the floor for the Clippers (2-3).

Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay scored 22 points for the Nuggets.

Danilo Gallinari and Erick Green each scored 16 points.

Centers Enes Kanter and Serge Ibaka also played huge for Oklahoma City in the win. Durant scored 11 in the first quarter on 4 for 6 shooting from the field.
