Vanessa Hudgens’ Gigi to Start in January 16 in Washington D.C
Vanessa Hudgens, the actress from ‘Spring Breakers’ who became famous while sharing the screen opposite to Zac Efron in Disney’s ‘High School Musical’ franchise, will now star in a production of the musical ‘Gigi’. It will debut in Washington D.C. in the coming year.
The Gigi will run from January to February in Washington D.C.
The Associate Press reported that the revival of Gigi will commence at the Kennedy Center at Washington D.C. on January 16, 2015. It will run till February 12 of the same year. However, the date for New York has not been announced till now.
The actress’s ultimate dream
Vanessa Hudgens, the 25 years actress told Associate Press on September 10, 2014 that “I think, as an actor, the ultimate dream is to be on Broadway.” She added, “I think it’s the true test. There are no second takes. You’ve got to bring everything you’ve got for the most critical of audiences. It’s an honor, if anything. I’m over the moon.”
Gigi: adapted in 1951
Gigi is all about a young courtesan-in-training and the affluent man with whom she got attached. It was initially modified in the year 1951 as a play, in which Audrey Hepburn was in the main role. Later, it came as an MGM movie musical with Leslie Caron.
