Mom Buries Children Killed by Drunk Driver
A grieving mother has posted a video of her three children on the day that she and her husband buried them. Neville-Lake also posted a video of her kids rehearsing a dance they planned to perform for their parents on their 10th wedding anniversary October 2.
“It’s not the first time I’ve seen him”, she said, explaining how she met Muzzo once before in King City while his kids were selling apples, it was at that occasion that Muzzo dropped something and one of the children picked it up and handed it back to him.
“Ed and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary looking at the caskets full of our broken and stolen dreams”, Neville-Lake wrote. Our life as a family was far from “picture perfect” but it was ours and it was our paradise. I came across this song called “Just Another Day In Paradise” and the kids wanted to dance to it.
“I wanted to come and I wanted to see the man who’s allegedly the reason why I don’t have children anymore”, Neville-Lake said outside the courthouse after the brief hearing.
The children, along with their grandfather, Gary Neville, 65, were killed on September 27 when their auto was struck by Marco Muzzo, 29, the grandson of property billionaire Marco Muzzo.
Muzzo is facing a list of charges, including impaired driving causing death in connection with the crash. Daniel, 9, can be seen happily spinning his 5-year-old brother Harry & his diapered 2-year-old sister Milly around in his arms within the home video recorded just weeks before their short lives have been stopped by an conspicuous reckless driver late last month.
It is alleged that Muzzo was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Harrison and Milly died at the hospital, holding hands and listening to their grandmother sing to them over the phone. Ed’s and my hopes for the future, our legacy and our dreams will be committed to the ground for eternity along with my father who was the “patriarch” of my family.
‘You can hear the exasperation in his voice when they don’t always follow his direction, and see how lovingly he helps to guide them, ‘ wrote Jennifer. Thank you for watching my children.
The family expressed faith in the justice system and said that Muzzo’s next court date, on November 12, has “a very very special meaning in my family”, as it would have been her parents’ 38th anniversary.
