Lufthansa adds new flights from Munich to Denver
Already the 17th busiest airport in the world and the fifth of the busiest’ skyports in the United States, with more than 53 million boardings each year, the 20-year old airport on the plains, is set to grow again, with new worldwide flights to Munich coming in May 2016.
DIA will now have a nonstop flight to Munich via Lufthansa.
The return flight, LH481, will depart DEN at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 11 and land at MUC at 10:05 a.m. the following morning, local time. Flights will take about ten hours.
“Each new nonstop, worldwide flight generates economic activity, creates new jobs and raises Denver’s profile on the global stage”, says Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. Buck says the new flight helps tourism officials reach not only the German market, where people are now interested in Colorado for more than its ski destinations but also in nearby Italy, where tourists rely heavily on Lufthansa service.
The Airbus A330-300 offers guests a selection of seats in four different classes with state-of-the-art cabin features, including 21 Premium Economy seats.
“This is an exciting day for Denver”, Hancock said.
Thomas Kluhr, a member of Lufthansa’s executive board, said: “With Denver, we are offering our customers an extremely attractive travel destination”.
Round-trip Economy fares on Lufthansa from Denver to Europe will start at approximately $980, according to the airline.
