4 kids lose mother to ice caves collapse, father to shooting
On July 6, mother of four Annalisa Santana was killed when an ice cave collapsed in Washington State where she and her family were visiting relatives.
The children were with their mother and her fiance last week at the Big Four Ice Caves in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
Santana, 34, of Moreno Valley, was killed on July 6 during a hike inside an ice cave in Washington.
The children’s father had been in near constant touch with the kids as they grieved for the mother, but had been unable to travel north to be with them.
No one had been arrested as of Monday afternoon, Lt. Rich Lawhead said, and no other circumstances of the shooting were immediately being released.

The couple were estranged when Santana died, family friend Rachelle Randle, whose daughter goes to school with one of the girls, told the Press-Enterprise.
