Watch Bernie Sanders’ Larry David Impression on ‘Kimmel’
Sanders’ exchange with Kimmel was otherwise fairly serious, as he laid out his case for how to fight income equality, but also weighed in on marijuana legalization and religion.
Sanders said that in many polls if you do head to head matchups of Sanders against candidates like Donald Trump he actually does better than Clinton.
Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders – who was born and raised in Brooklyn – was featured on “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Back to Brooklyn” Wednesday night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
The SNL skit has become a regular talking point for Sanders on the campaign trail.
As opposed to the manner in which any other candidate would have probably answered, Sanders sidesteps the question about God entirely, because, along with a growing number of Americans, he likely does not believe in God.
Bernie Sanders is defying all the odds.
“We have got to end the war on drugs”, he continued. “Life is more than that”, he said. “And, you know, looking at what’s going on in Colorado and elsewhere, I am not unfavorably disposed to moving toward the legalization of marijuana”.
“Our job isn’t just to defeat Republicans”, said Sanders, a Democratic USA senator.
The comments made by the Vermont senator are consistent with those he expressed during the first Democratic debate in Las Vegas.
Sanders was asked about that skit on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and used one of David’s most famous catchphrases from his show, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
