Lena Dunham Chubby With Taylor Swift Gigig Hadid Lily Aldridge
As Swift has been known to do, she brought a few friends onstage with her during her concert in New Jersey on Friday, and this time it included three supermodels – and Lena Dunham.
Dunham – a.k.a. Lucky Fiori in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video – was called to the stage to celebrate her Cool Kids Club membership alongside Hailee Steinfeld (Trinity), Lily Aldridge (Frosbyte), Gigi Hadid (Slay-Z), and Taylor Swift (Catastrophe) herself.
Speaking at an event on Monday, Dunham said she felt “chubby” and “short” next to the likes of Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid. “I’ve been feeling pretty tall, feeling pretty sturdy, and it was incredible to me, like: ‘Oh, I’m not tall”.
She continued, “When I socialize with those women, which I’ve done a little bit, because they’re good friends of Taylor’s, who is a good friend of mine, I don’t feel so unusual”.
‘But the minute I caught sight of myself in the Jumbotron, I knew something was very wrong.’.
She also commented on the feedback she got from her friends after they saw her on stage, including her boyfriend Jack Antonoff, who found the height difference very amusing.
She added, “I got all these texts from friends saying like, “I just want you to know you’re beautiful”, and I was like, “I didn’t ask for that””. “I just think about it like this: There are certain people where I feel like it’s like a lion and a tiger, or like a horse and a mule, or whatever, like a donkey and a horse, like, if we had sex, our kids would be sterile”, said Dunham.
However Judd went on to remind the best-selling author that Taylor and her #squad don’t exactly look like average women.
Lena Dunham probably won’t take the stage with supermodels again any time soon…
Her admission came as something of a surprise to the team at HuffPost UK Lifestyle, especially given the recent announcement of “Lenny”, the star’s all-singing all-dancing feminist email newsletter for young women.
‘We want people who have totally diverse interests, ‘ Lena told Buzzfeed of the women who will be writing for the newsletter.
