Droid Turbo 2 news: Leak confirms shatterproof display
The DROID Turbo 2, on the other hand, is bound to be a virtual powerhouse for Motorola and Verizon Wireless offering what will likely be a QHD screen like on last year’s model, an excellent camera, and it’s possible there could be multiple options for the style like with last year’s model.
With Motorola and Verizon teaming up to unveil its new DROID devices on October 27, it is no surprise that the carrier has starting teasing the arrival of the Droid Turbo 2. Now we can show the Droid Turbo 2 and Maxx 2 in a new leaked high-resolution image. While we’ve seen leaked images of the phones on a few occasions, the new high-res image gives us a really good look at the devices and various color options.
The DROID Turbo 2 – the three phones pictured on the left in the photo above – is expected to pack more flagship-worthy specs, including a Quad HD display and a Snapdragon 810 processor.
A prominent leaker of upcoming devices is @evleaks, and the majority of the information that comes from this source turns out to be the real deal. So, are you more excited for the Verizon event, or the OnePlus event? The other two handsets shown are said to be the Droid Maxx 2. In any case, readers should note that, Motorola has not confirmed DROID Turbo 2 specifications or features thus far. According to the leaked sheet picked up by Android Central, the DROID Turbo successor will flaunt a shatterproof screen and the housed battery unit will be able to offer up to 48 hours of battery life after a full re-charge. The specifications of Droid Maxx 2 contain 5.5-inch display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, and will have a 3,630 mAh battery. A new press render now shows both the front and back of the upcoming Droids, offering a better look at their design and colors. Officially, that’s all we know right now.
