Andrew Luck throws Thursday with “no restrictions”
The Indianapolis Colts are 3-2 and in first place of the AFC South, and they will be hosting the New England Patriots, who are 4-0 and in first place of the AFC East.
The 2015 National Football League season has not been good for Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Andrew Luck. These two teams hate each other and there is even more tension between them due to the entire “Deflategate” situation that the two teams had last time they played. Tom Brady had a great game through the air for the Patriots, connecting on 20 of 27 pass attempts for 275 yards and two TDs.
In the New England region, Sunday night’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts is already being heralded as the “Deflategate Revenge” game. The Patriots are only concerned with winning and they haven’t had to run trick plays or fancy schemes to do it. The more this season goes on it looks like Brady is in for one of the best seasons of his career. Last year, the Patriots leaned on running backs Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley, who are both gone.
Fans can watch the New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts game live online and see if the bitterness over the offseason spills over into what could be a critical contest. And the way he’s playing this season (11 TDs, 0 INTs), it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him do it against an offensively challenged Colts team.
But seriously, though, even though this is Snitches Get Stitches Bowl week, we’re here to take all of the Colts’ offensive threats as the blitzkrieg they have the potential to be.
Andre Johnson had his best game of the season against his former team last week.
Mathis talked on Friday how challenging it is getting to Tom Brady with the Hall of Fame quarterback getting rid of the ball at the quickest rate of any in the NFL.
Will Luck be able to get back into mid-season form tonight? New England has scored 40 points in each of those four games against Luck and they have 15 rushing touchdowns in those games.
The Colts have remained mum on the Patriots this week, with coaches and players often referring to the Pats as just “the next opponent”.
Andrew Luck looks to be on track to play this week after missing two games due to a separated shoulder.
“I don’t have any doubt about my son’s integrity – not one bit”, he told USA Today.
