Congratulations to each of the newly elected and re-elected Members of Parliament. When contrasted against the Liberals’ plan to tax Canada’s One Per Cent and transfer this wealth to the middle-class like Robin Hood in the Sherwood Forest, could more boutique tax credits even compete? They also have an opportunity to revitalize their democracy, which had been sidelined and almost dismantled by the previous government.

Perhaps the most novel aspect of the election was that foreign policy turned out to be an issue.
