Lamar Odom ‘On His Last Leg’ As Khloe Prepares ‘For the Worst’
On Thursday, Khloe reportedly remained at the bedside of Odom as other members of the Kardashian family visited and left, with speculation growing that his life-threatening condition was worsening. She wrote, “Believing in the power of prayer for this handsome soul”.
Odom was hospitalized after he was found unresponsive at a Las Vegas brothel from an apparent drug overdose on Tuesday, as HNGN previously reported.
“They are devastated”, another source close to the family tells ET about the Kardashians‘ current state of mind. “I said put him in the VIP house and just let him know – no drugs”, Hof told his management staff. Odom paid $75,000 for the companionship of two women during his during his stay. News reporting the star is in a “critical” condition.
“She’s totally focused on being there for Khloe right now”, a source said. “We are here with our family and friends”, the statement read. “We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time”.
In a statement released through their publicist Thursday afternoon, Lamar Odom’s two children – Destiny Odom and Lamar Odom Jr. – asked that fans pray for their ailing father. On Wednesday, a Nevada sheriff said the person who called 911 said Odom recently had used cocaine and had taken sexual-performance enhancers. “We ask for you continued prayers”.
Dennis Hof, proprietor of the Love Ranch in Nevada, has given a number of interviews since Khloe’s ex was found unconscious after partying with prostitutes for four days and Khloe’s publicist has hit out at him for using the tragedy for free publicity. Ex-wife Khloe, sister Kim and mom Kris, all dropped what they were doing in order to be with Lamar. She’s getting lots of love and support from both of them.
In addition to appearing on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”, Odom and Khloe Kardashian had their own reality show, “Khloe & Lamar”. He started his career as a professional basketball player in 1999, when he was selected by Los Angeles Clippers for the NBA draft that year.
