Survivor 31 Eliminated Monica Padilla In October 21st Episode Tonight
Kimmi, on the other hand, is trying really hard not to lose her patience with Monica. Did you watch the last episode?
Back in Samoa, Monica was part of Galu, one of the most successful tribes in Survivor history – right up until they weren’t. The women’s alliance wasn’t necessarily a set thing going in. This is giving the season a strong backbone that even though it’s as produced as any other Survivor season “twist”-feels far more organic to who these players actually are and their place in the game”. How does she feel about the invisible edit she got for most of the season?
But Abi reads it as if Woo is trying to get sympathy from their tribe members. They win a tarp. What makes it great, though, is that Monica clearly has no idea at all, and her complete shock at the end is highly entertaining to see. However, Monica stirs the pot by pulling Kimmi aside and raising the idea of voting out Spencer instead to preserve the possibility of a future girls alliance.
One good thing about Bayon losing is that we finally get to see more of the tribe. Kimmi says they’re not going to deplete the ocean. Kimmi goes back to camp and complains about her. Jeff welcomes them to a #RewardChallenge. The tribes have to roll their barrels to three poles where the person in the barrel has to retrieve a bag of balls from the poll. The first tribe to finish won chairs, pillows, hammocks, blankets, candles and tarps. And a lot of them are as interesting as the stuff that got in! It’s a battle of the old Cagayan survivors for second place. Third place gets nothing.
Back from commercial, we join the Ta Keos as they enjoy their prize from the reward challenge, thanks to Keith’s “athleticism”.
Tom Santilli: Everybody is talking about the new school vs. old school thing as if old school players need to “get up to speed” and play a new school game, but in your mind is there any chance that an old school player could win the game? Angkor finished first, followed by Ta Keo. Tough to see the hottest person in the cast go, but she got what she deserved. Maybe they were trying to throw that challenge to get rid of me, but that challenge … wow.
Monica is lagging behind again. Also, tune in to see her call Kimmi a “rat” and a “snitch”. Woo and Kelley get their third bags and Monica is still much slower. Keith is rolling for Ta Keo. Jeremy is rolling for Bayon.
Who knows how the rest of the season is going to play out and next week it looks like we might get a medical discharge that will throw another curveball into this season, which makes it hard to predict if you don’t want to sound like a schmuck.
People voted for the Second Chancers to go on, and people were so careful to not make the same mistakes as the first time they played.
The castaways started off with a reward challenge. Back at Ta Keo, they find the chilled juice to drink. Over at Bayon, they take the boat out to fish.
Next, they showed Rewards challenge footage. Wait, wasn’t Kimmi a vegetarian last time?
Who is the biggest threat/has the best chance of winning? He tells the others that his mom was on a transplant list for a new heart. Woo was a guy who had very little meaningful screen time in his season, and was really just painted as the brainless surfer dude. “I wasn’t a loose cannon”, she tweeted following the show. Tasha does not believe Abi could be managed after a merge and is starting to believe she might need to go home next.
Abi asks should she go and tell her personal stories. Tasha later says Woo and Abi are like night and day and says it’s a lot of work to deal with Abi while Woo will take marching orders easily.
Now it’s time for the #ImmunityChallenge. Heck, Stephen even hit one of the targets for Angkor and helped them pull out the victory! They shoot their Survivor slingshots. They swap and are tied 2-2 with Bayon and Angkor.
Here we go, back from commercial and pretty much everybody there is telling us it’s either Kelly Wig or Spencer. Spencer is headed up. Keith misses then tries again and nails the last target to win immunity for Ta Keo. It’s Angkor’s first immunity win. Most of the survivors haven’t even been to Tribal Council. They were trying to target Kimmi early on, and I tried to protect Kimmi. Instead, a major blindside happened at Bayon when Monica was voted off. But let’s start at the beginning and give a quick rundown of the episode. Spencer knows he’s on the bottom and he’s crashing conversations to commit to voting with the alliance.
Initially, Collins and his alliance of original Bayon members were set to eliminate Kelly or Spencer, but a private suggestion by Monica to Kimmi that they should keep the girls in the game led to a betrayal and elimination of Monica, the fifth in the game.
Monica: I definitely think it was blown out of proportion. “Monica is playing for Monica”, Kimmi spills to Jeremy and Fishbach, suggesting maybe it’s Monica’s time to go. She has to go.Now grab your balls out of your purse and let’s go. Jeremy wonders why Monica is doing this and he’s thinking about sending her home. At Tribal, they get their fire. We think Fish, the designated tribal nerd, should be anxious. What happened to the girl’s alliance? Granted, leading the yellows right now is like being a fully functional adult playing seven-year-olds in Monopoly…but still, good for them. And what were you thinking at the time was the reason you were voted out?
Monica felt haunted by the ghosts of Galu while living with Bayon, winning challenge after challenge, blissfully far away from the vote.
We see that Monica voted for Wigglesworth.
Then, Spencer is also pretty likable, he’s smart, and he proved to be a huge threat the first time around. That’s all the votes we see. No one offers one. Jeremy says that’s old school; new school is more erratic. But the rest of the votes come in for Monica, and she’s completely shocked.
