Donald Trump in South Florida for campaign rally tonight
Ramos tweeted about Univision being booted out of Trump’s Friday event, saying, “Journalists from Univision were not allowed to cover a Donald Trump political event today in Doral, Florida”.
“We want to know whether Donald Trump would veto a law that wants to grant legal status to thousands of Venezuelans, if he is elected president”, said Helene Villalonga, President of Association of Venezuelan Mothers and Women overseas, or AMAVEX, in an e-mail sent to news organizations.
No additional information was offered.
No local venture has been more lucrative for the tycoon than Trump National Doral, the golf resort where Trump will hold his first Florida campaign rally – presumably rent-free – at 7 p.m. Friday.
But the Republican also tackled the pressing issues of the day: his drop to second place in two Iowa polls, and his call for all presidential candidates to disavow super PACs – the political action committees that can raise unlimited amounts of money – after Trump himself severed ties with one of the groups backing him.
Univision did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Trump asked. “This is more fun, right?” Rubio’s campaign headquarters are in Washington; he has field offices in early primary states but none so far in Florida.
Trump quipped that he informed Carson about his lead, “but he was sleeping”.
The real estate mogul took aim at several Democratic and Republican presidential rivals, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Ben Carson.
Immigrants who oppose him are likely not republicans who vote in the primaries. Rubio had 19 percent in late July, Trump had 7 percent and Carson 4 percent.
“The truth is that President George W. Bush inherited all sorts of things from the Clinton administration, including intelligence agencies and others who weren’t doing a very good job”, Rubio said.
The Republican White House hopeful is making his first campaign swing through Florida.
Here in South Florida, Trump will be greeted by immigrants who are insulted by his fiery talk on immigration.
The pro-immigration demonstrators stopped Trump three times, before being shouted down by Trump supporters and removed from the facility.
