Death of Regina man, 48, confirmed as homicide
Police now confirm the death of a 48-year-old Regina man earlier this week is the city’s eighth homicide of the year.
Police said officers were sent to the home around 3:40 a.m. CST Thursday, to respond to a report about an injured person.
This marks Regina’s 8th homicide of 2015.
When police got to this block of Robinson Street they found balcony doors of an apartment shattered and believe that gunshots were fired at the residence then the suspects fled the scene.
Police say they are investigating it as a separate incident but are not ruling out both are connected. The victim has been identified and his family has been notified, but his name has not been released.
Another shooting that occurred Thursday morning on the 2200 block of Robinson Street also remains under investigation.
Police did not draw a definite connection between the two incidents, beyond noting that officers were dispatched to the two addresses at the same time.
